Cameras used
I've been asked which camera I use for the pictures and videos on this blog.
This year, 2011,
I'm using the SamsungWB210
from 2008-2009
Panasonic Lumix DCMFX-500
Both have a mega wide angle lens, ideal for getting the whole of a posture in a shot and while filming in a small room in lowish light.
I tend to film the vinyasa with the video function and then take screenshots.
I edit with Quicktime pro on my imac, compressing with the export for web feature to post on YouTube

Doesn't he seem like such a lovely, charming man ! I was also glad to see his 'straight-leg jump throughs' are like the ones I was doing until being told to do them cross-legged. No lifting to half-handstands there !
Floss
I think his new DVD has more of his teaching on it, would be nice to have it. Check out the guy who posted the DVD on youtube he has more Lino on his channel.
I do like that straight leg Jump through, looks so simple and clean, wish i could do it. Seem to have some mental block, Keep thinking one day it will just happen (happened for Susan). The half handstand crossed leg one has been useful though for building control.
He does look like a very sweet and fun teacher...
AMAZING straight leg jump back!! That's my goal! I got the jump through (magical mistake), but to be able to jump back by pulling my straight legs through and hips so high in the sky? Amazing.
Hi,
I'm the guy who posted the Lino videos. Lino is a GREAT teacher. I really recommend you go practice with him if you can. He is often in Finland, if you want more info just ask me (www.ashtanga.ee), he has a retreat in Kovalam, India every year from beginning of December to early February. Its a great retreat! He has one retreat in Italy and in July he has a beautiful retreat in the Island of Houtskär in Finland. He also travels around the world and does shorter workshops. This year was the first (but not the last:)) workshop he did here in Tallinn.
Check his website for more info: www.astanga.it. It is also in english.
Namaste!
