Finally managed to stay in Purna M. without falling out of it.Been struggling with this for a couple of weeks. Knew there must be a trick to it that I was missing. In the end it was obvious. I've been focusing on my foot placement and forgetting about my thigh and knee. This time I brought the right thigh and knee close to the other leg so that they were almost parallel, that allowed me take my foot over my knee and twist into it more comfortably.
I was able to work at grounding the right knee a little more which made the whole posture more stable. Still a way to go with it, need to work on getting my left sit bone more grounded as well as stretching up through the pose, bit hunched there. But it's stable enough for five breaths and all that will come just as it did with Mari D.

I love the expression on your face when you get in. You seem a little surprised to be there! Good job on the hold.
This pose can get iffy on me when I've been REALLY cranking in the back bending. Now that I'm practicing at home in a warm room though it's back.
Course I've been lazy about practicing at ALL in this interim between teachers!
Is that a working fireplace?
Surprised, yes a little bit, kicking myself too for not having worked out the leg thing sooner. Did you notice the looking up bit that I nicked from you. Thanks for that, does help.
It's a start, long way to go with it to make it good and stable. i don't know if I'll be able to do the other side though. It's my weaker leg, old knee injury, think Purna M might be a bit too intense for it. We'll see.
Yes warm room helps, bit warmer here the last couple of days, snow pretty much all gone this morning.
Sadly not a working fireplace at the moment, could probably get it going though. It's an Old Victorian house.
Hmm, I did notice the looking up bit that you say you nicked from Boodiba, I will remember that one for when the time comes. :)
