More dropback exercises

Allowing the feet to splay out again while I get the coming up action back. Trying to come up more slowly and without rocking. Once that's comfortable again I'll see about reducing the duck feet.
I'm trying to get in closer to my feet whether by walking to the wall and pressing my chest against it as I walk in or walking my hands towards my feet and coming up onto fingertips.
Not spending as much time on this lately as I was during my holiday but trying to keep it ticking over.

Well, they look great apart from the duck feet :)

I like the second one better for two reasons. First, you'd do well to establish the habit of walking the hands in not the feet, as walking the feet is more likely to jam the lower back, plus your feet end up just anywhere (often uneven); whereas walking the hands, you can see them and place them precisely. Certainly if you want to work on grounding the feet, don't move them once you're up. Secondly, I could never come up from the first one, that close to the wall! I'd feel like I'd hit it with my face, plus there's nowhere for the arms to go. I think I might hit it with my arms and fall backwards. Claustrophobic!!

hey Susan : )
Agree about the second one and walking the hands in, the walking the feet back is just for the pressing the chest to the wall thing, which is interesting.
I Like the hands up over the head drop back, I want to say it's more elegant, graceful but I don't think I have a graceful bone in my body, I'll settle for slow and controlled.
Nappper had a couple more things I wanted to try but, I don't know, the exercises, experiments, they don't seem to fit in with the rest of my practice at the moment. Even if I save it for the evening I get a little progress and then get all excited and end up in a backbend frenzy. Want to try and settle where I am for a bit, up and down more slowly and then look at the feet agin in a few months. There's one little gasp I make as I go back just before I hang that I want to get rid of.

Yours are sounding great by the way.
