Eka Pada Raja Kapotasana after standard Kapo

Boodiba mentioned that she slips in a Kapotasana before EPRK and that she finds it helps. Tried it this morning and it was much better, more space. Was pleased with my kapo too, first time catching my heels for a long time. Pleased, that was, until I watched the video a moment ago, all bit untidy, elbows really sticking out, oh well.

Practice was nice this morning, Saturday backbends.

Tadasana sequence (A post coming on this in the next couple of days with a ten minute version video, can't stress enough how much it's helped almost every area of my practice, all that lifting out of the pelvis)
Dropbacks X 5
A little Triangle and On one leg

Bow sequence with Viparita Salabhasana and Ganda B
Ustrasana and Kapo
Eka pada raja kapotasana
Leg raises in UD inc forearm version
Natajarasana A and B

10 minute Paschimottanasana
Shoulderstand prep
5 Min Shoulderstand
10 min Headstand
5 min shoulderstand plus halasana etc

30 min pranayama
10 min mantra Meditation

Thinking I should use Sunday for those sequences I don't get around to during the week, Some of the Supine and lotus subroutines perhaps.

have a good weekend

Try the other version too, with the wall. It helps really get into those hip flexors!

Put back knee against wall, shin is against wall, back of foot resting against wall. Extend front leg straight & try to (this on JC's insistence) push big toe knuckle of front leg strongly forward. I can just reach back & grab the foot in this position, though it's easier on the first side than the other. I'm sure you can too.

Feels GOOD!!!!

Frount leg straight! forgetaba! Ok maybe, hanuman has been a little better lately. Backbend Sunday the too then. What the hell is this about big toe knukle. Need a video here, 'bout time you got your camera out.

Ooh ya I'd been thinking how I'd film that, but I don't have a wall that would work except for back of hovel "front" door, and no room to back up to film....

Bed won't work for this pose variation cause I need a "wall" that goes all the way to the floor...

I could try the hope chest, but I don't know if it's tall enough.

It's true I haven't filmed in ages. Hey I'm going to send you a Batcave invite. I need a male perspective on current issue...

Boodie, maybe you need a Panasonic Lumix like I have, it has a 24mm wide angle lens, just perfect for getting the whole room in. I wanted to go HD and bought a FlashCam last week but it's not wide angled and was chopping off everything, put it straight back on ebay and went back to the LUmix, which I now find has HD anyway. I have the older Lumic DCM 500 which can be picked up quite cheaply now though I'm tempted by the new DCM 70 or 700.
Thanks for the batcave invite, honored....am I going to blush?

There's some smut in the Batcave but not recent smut!

I'm not in the market for any new cameras. Am trying to think of the name of this new gadget a lot of people have that's cool... I was admiring a coworker's. Anyway the next big purchase will be the glasses but I'm delaying as long as humanly possible. And I need a phone!

Speaking of delays - I do need to practice at some point but I'm going to stall at least another hour..

Oh, that is a good tip,to put the two together. But I probably have to do the Kapo afterwards because it is such a draining pose for me.Definitely will give it a try, most likely in Mysore.
