Purna Matsyendrasana, after lunch on the Vinyasa Krama TT course

Still waiting for the Jois DVD to arrive from the states, put off my morning practice in the hope it would arrive today, it's now gone 1pm and I really should get on the mat and practice, stomach is rumbling.

While killing time, and I've killed (or wasted ) a lot of time this morning I hunted around my mail box for a video Rene sent me, from her phone, back in July. This is of a Purna Matsyendrasana I took a shot at in the Krishnamacharya class on the 2010 Vinyasa krama teacher training course.

What I find curious about this is that it was only the 2nd or 3rd time that I managed to get into it. The other times were on the mat, nicely warmed up in the middle of a practice and with an empty stomach. This one was taken straight after lunch and I seem to remember I'd been to an all you can eat Indian buffet. Still don't know how I managed it.

While writing this the postman just shoved something through the door saying there's a parcel waiting for me at the sorting office with £11.36 customs charges , pretty sure it must be for the DVD.

£11.36? Wow! That's a bit of sting just for the pleasure of letting a dvd into the country. If you paid the seller for international shipping, you should, rightfully, have a good moan to them. I would!

It was a customs charge Steve, not his fault, seems the limit is 18 quid, he'd put $30 dollars value. Still an extra tenner seems a bit much on just a DVD. Don't mind too much though as it's excellent, practised with the 2nd series one this afternoon, one of my favourite practices ever.

Wow, Purna is one of my romance poses. Yours look more than great! Can't wait to read what You think about DVD's.

Thanks Indra, definitely a romance pose, wonder what else you have in your list, mine would include natajarasana, Eka pada viparita dandasana and eka pada raja kapotasana although I'm not sure about straight kapotasana oh and hanumanasana....not sure i would put the leg behind head poses as romanse poses either, hmmmm wonder why. I should do a post on this.

DVD's are wonderful, practiced with the 2nd series one yesterday afternoon and will do Primary tonight and see about posting on them.

My romance poses would be: Kandasana, Moola Bandhasana, full expression of Natarajasana, Samakonasana, Purna Matsyendrasana :) Of all those I'm quite close to full Samakonasana, I've stopped progressing around the angle of 170 and I search for inspiration on what to do :)

Really must do a post on this. I agree about samakonasana but can't see me ever managing it ( yes I know we always say that). Have you seen this video on it, might help with that last little bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh5LPswrhDk
