A couple of crossover posts that may or may not be of interest to Ashtangi's on my new Vinyasa Krama blog.
Vinyasa Krama drop back, feet together, come up on exhale.
Looks at the curious idea of having your feet TOGETHER when dropping back and get this, coming up on the exhale.
Exploring Baddha padmasana & yoga mudra options
Looks at binding in Baddha P as well as some other options available if your not quite binding alone yet, especially for the home ashtangi that can't get an assist.
A few words on getting your leg behind your head in Vinyasa Karma
A rare talkie, the Vinyasa karma lead up to leg behind head postures and what works for me.
And this from Ramaswami which seems appropriate at the moment.
May there be peace (shantir me astu) in me, so that I may create peace in other beings (shantim karomi) -- from a vedic peace chant

Fantastic post and great videos. And thanks for posting up the times for the Baddha padmasana & yoga mudra options.
Hello Grimmly,
thanks for this post. The VK approach to leg-behind-head postures is very interesting. I like the sequencing: Seems very organic, although I don't practice it. Good to finally hear your voice too :-)
Oh, and I hope you are okay in London (is that where you live?), with all the riots and everything...
Thank you Alis.
makes me think of that nice build up to kapo in 2nd series, never understood why you get all that but then are thrown in the deep end with eka para sirsasana with no prep. Much easier in primary when you do the dwi pada entry to sputa kurmasana after all the primary hip openers. No, not easier exactly just more comfortable, a little deeper. More organic, I like that. I think I spoke on one other video, told one of Ramaswami's stories, buried away somewhere on the blog.
Thanks for the concern. I'm a little outside London, half an hour by train, so fine, but then again the whole country has gone nuts so who knows where it's going to happen next. Too much rajas.
