The first copy of my Krishnamacharya book turned up today, I'm a little disappointed. I'd proofed the pdf preview they allow you to download but it looked a lot different on the Mac than it does in print. I don't think the font really works and where they've blown up the original version to A4 it's made the font seem twice the size. That's not necessarily a bad thing as a 'mat book', it's big enough that you can glance over at the instruction easily but it's not quite right. The layout and format could be a lot better and the asana table from Yogasanagalu is pretty blurred ( there is a downloadable version on the yogasanagalu page at the top of the blog).
I've discounted it by 50%
On reflection, the first part of the book, the simplified asana instructions derived from Yoga Makaranda is probably OK, useful. Most of the second half is probably fine, except for the asana table mentioned above and a couple of the photo tables where the pictures are too small to be of much use. I'll be adding links to the originals here over the next couple of days.
Hopefully it's useful, I've found it to be so in my own practice since stripping back the asana instructions as well as in preparing and presenting the recent and up coming Krishnamacharya workshops.
